The Policies & Procedures have been reviewed and updated following 2025 AGM

Health & Safety Policy

The AHT is committed to ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all its members,
volunteers and visitors. We aim to maintain high standards of health and safety in all our
activities with compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.

Safeguarding Policy

This policy it to protect all young people and vulnerable adults and keep them free from
harm, abuse, or exploitation. This policy aims to protect all children, young people, and
vulnerable adults, from harm while receiving services from members/volunteers of the
Association of Hairdressers and Therapists. It also seeks to ensure that all association
members understand their responsibilities in safeguarding.

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy

The AHT is committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and equitable environment for all
members, young people, competitors and stakeholders. We oppose all forms of unlawful
discrimination and are dedicated to promoting equality of opportunity in line with the
Equality Act 2010.

Grievance  Procedure

This procedure provides a clear and fair, transparent and consistent approach for addressing
concerns or complaints raised by employees, contractors, or members. It aims to resolve
issues promptly and constructively, fostering a positive work environment.

Health & Safety Policy

The Association of Hairdressers and Therapists (AHT) is committed to maintaining the
highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability. We encourage all identified
in the scope to report any concerns about wrongdoing/malpractice within the organisation
or the wider industry. This policy outlines how such concerns can be raised and ensures that
individuals are protected from retaliation.
